What are some suggestions, recommendations for aftermarket parts to soup up or just try to help my corolla fade into the sunset with some upgrades (dignity)?
Looking for cheap transmissions or motors. Like the kind fresh off the train. IE, 50k motors or tranis that are no longer acceptable to the Japanese community.
Any suggestions for souping up the motor? Transmission? I've seen many Honda Civics souped up but not many toyotas. I don't want to get extreme but a little something while I'm under the hood to fix something else. IE, replacing a motor or trani.
I've seen lots of lowering kits and Euro lighting on eBay any suggestions on these? I will need to replace some lights due to water damage and a weird crack inside the enclosed head light. Any advice you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. I've gone to Toyota but I'd like other suggestions. They seem pretty expensive when I know I can find websites that sell most OEM parts, aftermarket and cheaper.
Thanks much!

Replacing the motor and transmission??

You do realize that's the most expensive thing to do yet you say want to do something cheap...

One thing I will say right now that will be cheap is replace the air filter with K&N filter.

I am not into souping up cars so maybe someone else can answer the question for you.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy another toyota? I mean if you want to trick out that car but are unsure of it, why spend the money? I have to tell you that my toyota is a great car. It's 1983 and except for slow start in the morning it's great. It also still looks good. However I probably won't do too much to fix it up, because it's just as easy to go ahead and buy a newer model.
