We got our first Matrix at work today!!!! It is taller than the pictures look, and it is hot, pure and simple. There is lots of leg room and the dash board is the tops!!!

Today, Lima, Ohio, has received it's FIRST Toyota Matrix! I drove into the lot and they were JUST taking off all the contact tape off the windows and "unpacking" it! VERY exciting!

I was wondering how it compared to the Mazda Protege5? I know that they are similar in size, but was wondering how much room you have in the hatch with the seat up? Being in Hawaii, I am sure that we will not see it till about July.. Thanks for the help.

I will measure the cargo area with the seat up first thing in the morning tomorrow morning and send a reply to you. I ordered my own car today, a XRS 6 speed, Black with sun Roof and 6 CD- MSRP of $20155. 6-8 weeks until I get it.
