I hate it. I hate the ventilation system and how it does what it wants after I set it how I want it. If I want the recirculation mode to be on with the window defrost mode, that's what I want. I didn't ask Toyota what they think the AC should be set at. They should have no say. If I want to run my recirc mode with the heat on and the defrost/feet output selected, I don't think it should turn off 2 minutes later and I start sucking in the exhaust of the car in front of me.

Please. I love my Toyota FJ Cruiser to death, and I know this is petty that I am only annoyed by the ventilation system. But I absolutely cannot stand when someone else tries to think for me.

Does anybody else hate this?

Is this even a feature? I'm starting to wonder if I should get it looked at. Can anybody confirm that this is the normal function of the ventilation system? Thanks...

Not 100% sure, but I believe I read somewhere in the manual about holding in the recirc mode button for a few extra seconds, so that it will stay on.
