first post on this forum. i really really hope somebody can help.
i drive pizza's for a living for dominos. i need my car.
i drive a 2.2L 1997 Toyota Camry 4cyl automatic with 187,500 miles on it.
I was driving tonight. And i was pulling out of the parking lot and my oil light started to blink. i didnt think anything of it. about a quarter mile after i noticed this, my car started making a very unusual noise and started to smoke. the engine cut out. it died. i lifted the hood, there was a lot of smoke (it was also 17 degrees outside) and this high pitched whisling noise, like it was releasing pressure from something.
there was a massive oil puddle on the concrete. i pushed the car into a nearby parking lot and attemped to start it. it started for a few seconds and ran anywhere from 3500 to 5000 rpm's for about 30 seconds, and then died again. once shifted into drive, or if the car was given any gas, it'd die.
i am on a very limited budget as it is, and considering my car is my way of making money, if i cannot drive my car i cannot make enough money to fix this.
can any experianced toyota people give me any sort of direction on what could possibly be wrong? thank you very very much!!!!
