Hi i am new with this group . I wanna say hello to everyone in the group first.

Yes i am a supra lover too.
Ok
I bought this 89 turbo for cheap. Off course you get what you paid for. So i need to fix the turbo because it was leaking oil and cooland in to intake. So i take the turbo out and take it to rebuilder. Bill came up to $800 from $300 bacause it was very bad.
So i put it back after rebuild . It worked fine i got 6 psi from stock. But yesterday (after one weak of using the car) Car lost power and i got like 0 psi on stock boost meter.
Do you guys know what is wrong whit this car. What shuld i check.

Thanks for your help
Utkan Senyuz
89t stock.

1) are you showing vacuum some of the time???

2) or just O PSI??? Stock PSI is actually 6.8 PSI I believe or is it 6.4??? So if it was JUST 6 then you were still running lower boost....

since you had the turbo rebuilt, take it back, they did a SHITTY job, the turbo is probably FROZEN. In essence, it reduces your intake. You will need to remove the intake first and then check the blades of the turbo and see if it is spinning at all....

you might also want to check your cat to see if it is bad or clogged....

however my guess is the turbo is frozen and not spinning freely....and that you spent $800 on something which should have only costed about $400 to do....at most......for $800 you could have had them make your turbo spin more freely etc....that is a pretty hefty price....you should have just purchased one used from a junkyard....

normally....the turbo is not the problem...so I would feel comfortable buying one from a junkyard or used.....but others here may disagree with me!
