Sorry about that. Not sorry I'm getting mine; sorry you haven't yet. Maybe it has to do with deliveries to various parts of the country.

Good luck, I hope you get "the call" soon.

Delivery is affected by geographic location and Portland, OR is rumored to be the first stop on West Coast shipments, so a later order could certainly land there before Newark, NJ. It would appear that customer notification is up to the regional office, and that can be a factor in notification. Your Prius may have been in port for days without you being notified. Today I checked with my dealer about my order (that finalized on 24 July) to find that they've known it to be in Baltimore since Monday, and it may have been there for some time before they called to check. I still haven't heard anything from Toyota, but I've got the VIN.

So far I'm the only Prius buyer they've had, but I'm not too surprised. Their "advanced trained" Prius salesman, kept pushing the Echo. Unless they other dealers in Delaware are doing better, I may have the only Prius in the state for a long time.

WaltR

Nobody from Port Newark (NJ) called me when my Prius arrived there, but my dealer had given me a 3 week heads up and a 1 week heads up that it was coming in. It arrived on a Sunday and I called him Monday to confirm that it was in port. So things were done a bit differently for me than the reports we've heard from the West coast. I don't know if my dealer told the port not to bother to call or if it's not the policy of the port to call the customer directly on the East coast. I had already told my dealer what options I wanted about a month ago.

Robert Snyder
