I just bought a 1992 HiAce and it has a fancy GPS/CD/DVD navigation system which I believe was made by Toyota in 1994. While the CD works fine the built in GPS map is for Japan only (of course). Does anyone know if a North American map is available and if this unit could be converted to English? If not then it will be for sale on Ebay shortly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/liebe011.gif)

I also had the same fancy nav too but I found a few folks on the net complaining about it too. It seems it's only for Japan. I eventualy tore mine out and replaced the whole thing.

BTW I decided to keep the fancy DVD/CD/TV/GPS unit in the van, I bought a FM frequency adapter from the UK and I can now get a few more FM stations but reception is not that great. I also discovered that the unit has a TV in it and I can actually get about five stations (not that I use this very much while driving ;-) CD works great and it also accepts MP3 cds.
