i have a 1988 toyota corolla, its an automatic, has a carburetor. it starts and idles, but has a rattle in the topside of the engine, however it has no power when in gear and trying to drive, i noticed that the PCV valve has broken, it dropped the parts down inside the baffle thats in the top of the valve cover so nothing dropped down into the engine. i going to try to replace that and see if that might be the problem. but if anyone has any ideas im all for them, im pretty good with working on cars but not so much as diagnosing problems when it comes to these types of things. also to mention when put in gear it does move and i can drive it down the road but it doesnt go very easy.

thanks for your interest,
david fry
