I want to replace new break shoe myself but after i took the wheel off, i have no idea how to get the drum off. I tried to hammer it a few times but won't work, the drum doesn't seem to have any nuts to hold it on there, and its already floating freely. Is there a step i missed? Please help!! :)

I attatched a few photos of the drum....

Yes they are sometimes hard to take off.

Make sure your emergency brake is OFF. I've made this mistake myself. If it's on, it's actually putting pressure against the drum.

You need to continue hammering (with a rubber mallet). Hammer all the way around continuously (from the side). The pull-back / hammer / pull back.

Try that...let me know if it worked.

There are 2 threaded holes opposite of each other close to hub . Use 8mm x 1.25 bolts and it will slowly pull off hub

ALso try to loosen off the shoes from the backing plate. If you put he screws into the hole, you may damage the shoes and hardware. From the back of teh drum, there should be a black rubber cover. Ifyou pull that off, you will notice that the star whel adjuster for teh brake shoes are there. move it in teh direction, up or down, with the MOST resistance. If you move it with the least amount of resistance, you are making the shoes "bigger". If you move it in teh Most resistance, you are making the shoes "smaller"

There is a threaded hole in the drum. you should thread a bold in there and as you tighten it, the drum will come off.
