Well i am about to buy a 1983 Toyota Supra with a 5MGE engine in it. The guy said that the bottom end needed to be fixed. Before i buy it i wanna know how much it is gonna cost to fix it. Like the whole thing. I just need a rough estimate. Or if someone could give me a parts list to what i need that would be helpful. Thanks to all adive thanks.

u would be better off just getting a newer supra like late 80s early 90s whats ur price range because ive seen some nice supras for cheap so get back to me.

I HAVE A 83 SUPRA. IT IS A GREAT CAR. BUT IF U R LOOKING FOR A MOTOR WITH A LOT OF OPTIONS FOR UPGRADES, WELL THE 5M JUST ISNT WHAT U NEED. AN 87 OR HIGHER GIVES YOU A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF OPTIONS, TURBOS, BOLTON ACCESSORIES. BUT IF U DP GET THE 83 U R BETTER OFF CALLING SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SOMEWHERE AND GETTING A BRAND NEW CRATE 5MGE FOR 600 BUCKS. OR A 7MGE ENGINE SWAP FOR 1395.00 SEARCH THE SITES DOWN THERE, ULL SEE.
