I have a 76 Land Cruiser and after replacing three engines all by Toyota warranty. The 4th engine is a 1978 with very low miles. My problem is I have had the coil wiring replaced for the 78 engine, but somewhere in moving the Land Cruiser from the repair shop to home the Ignition keys were lost or missplaced. Any information as to how to replace the keys at a low cost rather than replacing the whole lock assembly would be greatly appreciated.

There might be a code on the ignition itself (inside the dash) that your nearest Toyota dealer could look up for you, and cut a new key for you. I think they put the same code on the keys themselves, too. I'm not sure when they stopped this practice though, so you might be into a new ignition. Good luck!<br><br>Peace,<br>Jake
