I am in need of a reliable commuter car for 16 miles roundtrip daily commute. Will own this car for about 1.5-2 years. Want to get back as much as possible when I resell.

Found a Corolla with sunroof, leather, power windows/locks, wood trim, alarm. Just some very minor wear cosmetrically. Seems nice and should do well. Just over 20K miles for an 04 so it hasn't been driven much.

This seems like a very loaded Corolla. Will this help sell it down the road or make it more difficult? I am likely to put 10K miles on it in, so it would then be a ~4.5 years old with 30K miles.

I appreciate your comments. I just don't want to take it in the shorts when it come to sell.

I test drove it for about 10 miles and everything seemed normal. It could use an alignment.

Anything specifically to do/look at when I test drive it again. Thanks

I haven´t own a Corolla myself, but my friends have. Only one said that she had a problem with the sunroof after some years, because it started liking when it rained. But you have to keep in mind that she was living in Venezuela, where the hot weather is all year round and maybe that is what damaged the sealer in the sunroof. Other than that, I thin that car sounds pretty good for what you want it. Good luc if you already bought it!

We used to own an older Corolla, which I used to commute 60 miles a day round trip. It was a great car, aside from the usual maintainence and regular parts replacement, we had no problems with it.

It's a great car for commuting, where I use to work I drove about 60-70 miles away from my house and drove back every night and I still haven't had any problems with it, and it's been over a year...so it's a great car for commuting especially with the gas prices how they are...

More options will make it easier to sell and you most definetely wont, "take it in the shorts" when you go to sell it because its a Toyota. If you have a good used Toyota with low miles on it you can pretty much name your price and most people would be happy to pay it because they know that with a Toyota they will have something that will last a long, long time needing very minimal repairs. The Toyota emblem on the grille is worth it's weight in gold.
