I’m looking to buy a used Tacoma and was wondering if anyone could give me advice. I’m noticing a lot of 2003-2004’s on the market with 70-80k miles. Is there a reason there are so many, do these develop problems around this time? Are there any problems with any Tacomas I should look out for? Thanks.

Part of it could be that a lot of people trade up every 3 years and the other could be that a lot of people who were interested in the new Tacoma but wanted to give Toyota couple of years to work the bugs out have finally traded up to a new truck.
By no means do Tacomas develop major problems at 80,000 miles.

I haven't heard any problem with them at that mileage. maybe these people are wanting to buy the Tundra as it seems to be a very good value and they maybe trying to upgrade.
