Hello everyone
Glad to be here, i think this is one of the best forums i've ever registered to.

I have a 1996 Acura TL 3.2 Premium (real deal) but I am considering buying a 2009 Corolla.
I hope i can get some advice and quotes from experts, would be greatly appreciated.

Buy the 2009. Too sweet. I got mine 6 weeks ago and 3000 miles already (I have to travel alot.) Easy 37MPG and I can average 39-40 if easy on the gas pedal (thats about 90%+ highway driving.) Also it has decent power for a 4 cyl when needed.

Just bought My 2009 Corolla S On Wed. 5.21.08! I love it Already have 1000 Miles, I drive at least 100 miles a day to work. My average keeps going up but now I am at 33.5 MPG.

You will not find a better or more dependable car on the market for the money.

Good luck!

I bought my 2009 Corolla S about six weeks ago. I love it. I am getting an average of 40 MPG, about 95 percent highway. I have 6,000 miles on it already.

The only thing that I don't like about it is the rear speakers. They are very soft.

I have never bought a Toyota before and am very imprressed.

So much so I am thinking about buying another one for my wife.

Hello, I am also seriously considering purchasing the 2009 Corolla S. I've already been to two different dealerships, but they wouldn't give me the price I wanted.

I am just wondering how much everybody paid for their 2009 Corolla S's? What is a good offer to give the dealers when negotiating? I told them I did research online and most of the MSRPs are around 16,000, but most of the offers I've been given are around 19,000.

..and I am also a bit confused about the options. Without ANY of the options, would the car still look sporty and come with the alloy wheels, spoiler, sporty interior, etc?

Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated as I am a very unexperienced car buyer and am stressing out a bit over this. Thank you!!

Check out the build your own on the toyota site to see the option packages and prices. Mine is the S with option D plus the sunroof. Dealer price was 18,700.

First of all, welcome.

Second of all, buy the Corolla.

Thirdly...know that the 09 Corolla is in VERY HIGH DEMAND, therefore, there will be little negotiating room because if you don't buy it...I can almost guarantee there will be 10 others who want it. We also just found out that the Corolla was removed from the Costco Auto buying program. We got the Costco deal 3 days before is expired (if you don't know what Costco is...don't worry about it).

Fourthly, the 09 Corolla LE cars are VERY SPORTY...without the S package. My motherinlaw has an 08 and I'm still blown away at the difference between the 08 and 09. The 09 looks like a mini-Camry (therefore, we've affectionately named our car the "mini-cam")

Fifthly...gas mileage is GREAT, as long as the driver drive's sensibly.
