First, I'd like to say hi to everyone!
Second, I apologize for having my first post in this community be one about a car problem = /
My current scenario is that in order to turn on the fog lights, the headlights MUST be on (standard on my car). Now for the problem...
I purchased two sets of HID Conversion Kits for both my headlamps and fog lights for my 2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5 4WD. As I was installing the headlamps, I noticed that the stock bulb has 3 prongs. As far as I know, one is for low beams, one for high beams, and one for ground/negative. The HID kit came with two wires/prongs to connect. One for negative, and one for low beams. I was aware prior to installing that by installing this HID kit that I would be losing the high beams, so I went ahead and ommited the high beams and continued the install without any problems occuring.
However, Before attempting to install the HID conversion kit for the fog lights, I realized that the factory fog lights would no longer turn on. I'm assuming that the stock headlamps somehow send a signal to the fog lights to ensure that both low beams and high beams are connected (correct me if I'm wrong, this is just my assumption). If this is the case, then the fog lights are no longer receiving that signal. If possible, is there any workaround for this without having to create my own relay/switch setup for the fog lights?
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
