Hi all.

just bought a 1993 2.8 diesel 2wd camper. Love it.

Would like to know what the little red button at the top of the auto shift consul is. Doesn't appear to do anything!

My rear heater is blowing only cold. Any ideas as to how to bleed / top up heating system? A quick look underneath reveals 2 rads, 1 vertical in front of the engine and 1 lying flat behind the front bumper. I'm guessing one ( the horizontal one ) is a large heater matrix but only guessing. As to how to top up / bleed it ??

Cant find a workshop manual for the 2.8 hiace. Anyone had any joy?

Are there still some other Hiace camper owners still around in this part of the world ( Glasgow ) ?

Where might be a good source of local spares?

I know that's more than a couple of questions but I'm on a roll now.

Drove back from Wolverhampton yesterday with the van. Seems fine. It is a Wellhouse conversion imported in 2004, but without any manuals I'm in the dark about most things regarding the van and conversion so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Graham.

not familiar with your conversion or the rear heater but trying tracing things back from the outlet and checking all is how it should be..... things like are the hoses connected and hot, is there an isolation switch/tap to the rear heater that is off...

if it is like a regular heater the heat is provided via the radiator/engine so if you have water in the radiator it should also be in the heater element, hoses etc....
