Hi there.
I've recently discovered the joy of Hiace Super Custom ownership. I was previously using a standard 1994 Hiace SWB 2.8d for work purposes, very reliable of course, but noisy, slow and laborious to drive, especially around town. The need for a rear seat arose with the addition of kids hence I took the plunge with a super custom. What a difference power, comfort, mod cons, moon roofs and swivel seats make. Ok, so the diesel consumption has gone up a tad....from getting about 420 kms between fills (with the old 2.8d) to an almost scary 350kms (around town of course). And there are some age niggles (sliding door latch playing up, rev counter works 5% of the time) but generally this is a fun wagon to drive and my kids love it far more than the 2001 Nissan P12 Primera which is the "family car".
