hello everyone, im new to the forum here. I own a 1994 Toyota Tercel 2dr with 4spd tranny. Thats about all I know about the car lol I think its a 1.4lt. I bought the car in May because my truck is modified and gets regulary about 11.5mpg! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/offtopic.gif) well anyways the car is in decent condition, I had actually though about gettin rid of it untill this morning I put 23 bucks in it and filled the tank full (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif) So heck imma keep it and now its time to find some information about it. I know for a fact the car needs a few things like alot of the post's already been established I too have a issue with the spark plugs, I pulled 4 and 3 of them were clean burning plugs and the furthest one from the air filter was black on the end, they looked pretty new so I left them be. The valve cover gasket needs to be replaced and I probley need a new belt. With that all being stated, my question is this the car has a studder while in mid accerlation. The car will gain speed as fast as a small 4cyl will go, but its almost like it has studder to be exact it dont feel to much like a miss, or much like a blockage to my knowlegde. I have ran a bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner through it and it didnt seem to help much! The car has got 138,000 miles clutch is strong and tranny feels strong. I believe i might start with the fuel filter, work my way from there. Could be a lot of things maybe someone has had similar issues and could help me cut a corner so, with that said good to be here and all info is welcomed.
