So heres the story, i bought this car today, its a 1988 TOyota Tercel, thinking i was buying a good commuter!! I start driving it home, its running kind of rough, and the first hill i get to it wont make it up, it seems like it just floods itself out, and now i have limped it home, and it wont even start. Ive been doing some research on here and it sounds like a carb problem? It has good compression all cylinders, fuel pump is working, the plugs though are super black. It is hard to get it reved up but once it is reved up it sounds really good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated? I am trying to make this my daily commuter.
Once again Thanks for any help
Nick

Check out he thread below on Weber carb info. I just installed a 2 barrell repalcement carb on my 87 and it runs fine now. Cost ya about $350 if you do it yourself.
