Had a mechanic listen to noise. He said the back-up motor seemed OK! But he think that the cogs in the rear steering box are worn or loose, and he also thinks it's a sealed unit and it can't topped up with fluid; so it looks like a replacement steering box! How much do you think it will cost me for a new or used unit?

It comes on every time when I switched the ignition on and goes off once the engine's started. It stayed on only once and didn't go off when the engine started. But after I turned off the engine and restarted it, then it went off. That was the only time it happened; after I've been trying to investigate the problem by tapping the backup motor and twiddling the wires that goes to the motor.

rear fogs? - Legal requirement is for one on the drivers side, most conversions use the 2 inner brake lights.
