Hello I'm in Scotland and new to this forum. I have a 1999 VVTi Celica and I can't work out how to get the number plate light off to change a bulb. Can anyone help. Cheers.

Hi mate.

its an easy job. the only trick part is getting your hand in to unclip the bulb holders.

you need to take off the boot plastics of the tailgaite. This is held in with a series of clips. try and lever it with a screw driver but taking care not to damage the plastic. once one or 2 have been unclipped it becomes much easier to take out the rest.

once off, the 2 bulbs are encased in a metal surround with an arm coming off it into a 10mm nut (if i remember correctly)

take the nut off then remove the metal case. You will then see the bulb clip. Take a quarter twist anti-clockwise and pull it out, then replace the bulb!
