Drives: 1989 toyota cressida 3.0

i was woudering if anything controled the o/d and could anyone help me if you turn the o/d on the light blinks and the only code in the computer is a code 63 thats all it flashes

does anyone know if the overdrive wroks on vacuum or electrical can anyone please help me or point me in the right way thanks keith (IMG:style_emoticons/default/liebe011.gif)
