They recommend every 8000km in Canada so why the difference between the two countries. Oil last longer in the U.S. :)<br><br>7000miles=11200km!!!

In Canada you have to change your oil more often because it has more opportunities to congeal at -40 degrees (that's Celcius since you're in Canada).<br><br>Seriously, you're probably considered one of those "severe climates" where oil has to be changed more often.

We in Southern Ontario are actually FURTHER SOUTH than some of the Norther U.S. so THEY should have to change their oil even more often then! :)

That's easy. If the US included service plan makes Toyota pay for the oil change you only need it every 8000miles. But in Canada where you're paying for it yourself you need to change more often.

Just in case anyone wondered, -40C is the same as -40F (for what it's worth...)
