Let's here it guys - I use Valvoline SAE50. I've tried using 20/W50 castrol but found that when racing it is getting burned up - but that was before I added a perma cool 6 pass cooler and Total Seal rings - whould I go back to 20W50 Castrol?
Comments?? Opinions are welcome here!

I currently use Castrol 20W50, about every 3000 I find myself a quart low. I top it off every 1000 miles now. I am running a cooler but the motor still runs hot. I know I get a lot of blow by also. What do you think of your Total Seal rings? And around how much do they cost?

I went from 10-40 to 20-50 am currently without a cooler but ussually run one, I only race and would say ya to go back, that 50W would be like pumping Tar, the rings will cut out a majority of the burn and a fresh motor with tight tolerances might like it a little easier with something lighter??And if you are pumping through your oil cooler and not cooling on a bypass it will take a long time to get the oil temp up, and you want it up 200F or so or you will loose to much HP pumpiing it and spining the crank through it.???
Just thoughts

Ohyacool

P>S> am intrested in hearing more on those rings??? As to how they work when yer up and running.
