With that low of miles, you should not be burning oil.
How much is it drinking? 1quart per XXX miles?

Any leaks? Any buildup on the plugs?

you might want to consider getting new rings for the pistons. If the oil ring is going bad, then that would be a reason that you are burning oil. Espically with over 100,000 miles, if you havent done a rebuild then you might want to consider it.

Oil burning should not be an issue till at least 200k. 140k is way too soon unless something went wrong. Check your plugs for buildup.

It should say on the outside of the container if you can mix synth. with mineral, however I have heard that you must not mix the two. Regards Fintan

Engine Oil (4A-FE engine) - Castrol Magnatec, nothing else on the market even comes close. It doesn't have to be the high spec synthetic, but if you can afford it then use the sythethic. viscosity rating will depend slightly upon where you live - for instance if you live in siberia you'll want at best a 5W-30. If you live in britain a 10W-30 or 10W-40 would be the just the job.
trans axle oil - again, a high spec synthic if you can affford it - GL5, 75W-90.
filters - whatever comes off the shelf. no real difference between makes.
plugs - not sure, I've not had much luck with finding anything other than standard ones from an independant autoparts shop.
