I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what year models had the colum ger shift.

The H10-series (196x-~1973) had column-shift manual only.

The H20 (to ~1982) I've never been inside, but suspect it was the same, with the added option of auto.

The H60 series (first year of sales 1989) was available with both column-shift and floorshift. Floorshifts were more common on the 4WDs. I suspect but don't KNOW that autos were all column-shift (the H100 Super Customs I've driven were all floorshift manuals). My 83 LWB diesel was column-shift 5-speed; my 87 MWB 2.4D 4WD was floorshift, but I think all 4WDs were floorshift.

H100s were all floorshift, I think. At least, I've driven and looked at plenty of H100s and never met a column-shift, manual or auto.

The H200 will be the same as the 100.

Column-shifts suck!

Where would be a good resource for figuring out the differences between the different models, 40, 80 100?

I'm new to the hi ace world... are there some good links/ resources? so far most of my searches have got me to "for sale" hi aces?

I saw what seemed to be a 12 or 15 passenger, diesel 5spd, with a raised roof, hi ace in Jamaica.. they told me it was also available in 4wd...

any help would be appreciated.
