Ok, my dealer was able to provide some more information which I neglected to relate. A sun roof is available on the Prius, not factory installed, though. The dealer informed me that Toyota has instructed various after market companies on the process for installing a power sun roof. The dealer stated that they could have the sun roof installed before delivery to me, with full warranty.

The two other options that I know of are a cd player and floor mats. I did not find any mention of how to order these options though.

I wondered about that CD player, which is listed as an "accessory" on the official specs page at prius.toyota.com. Does accessory mean optional? The press release for the Canadian launch says the CD player will be standard equipment and is quite clear that there are no options other than color.

Ah. I was starting to hope that since I didn't see a means to add the options that the accessories were standard. Maybe they stuck a cd player where the GPS unit would go?

It's been a few years since we bought a car, but I always remember the floor mats being an option for about $150.

Here's the relevant paragraph from the Canadian press release. Of course, the US model may differ. In fact, the color choices are different, I believe.

>>>"Prius will be well-equipped and ready to please with only one choice for the discerning and environmentally conscious buyer, which colour
to pick" said Tony Wearing, vice president of Vehicle Sales and Marketing of Toyota Canada Inc. Standard features include remote power door locks and engine immobilizer as well as power windows and mirrors, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, Antilock Braking System (ABS), AM/FM radio plus cassette and CD player. The Prius will be available in a choice of five colours; alpine white, silver sand metallic, electric green mica, brilliant blue pearl and ocean blue pearl. <<<

Not sure what the question about cruise control is. The feature is not available on this model. I can understand the reasoning for not having cruise control. Cruise control defeats the concept of regenerative breaking. However, I'd think that a constant rate of speed on the highway would be efficient.

I agree. The Prius has so much computer control, it shouldn't be a problem to program a cruise control.
