Hello everybody, I'm new to the list and would like to introduce myself. My name is David, I just purchased a 1984 Supra that I would like to restore. I am looking for the OEM stereo unit with equalizer and amplifier if (applicable). As I am not sure if the amp. was an external unit on this model or part of the stereo unit. I will also need the mounting brackets. If someone knows where the unit can be located, and is operational or can be repaired to operate I am interested in obtaining the unit. I've been a Toyota repair technitian since 1982 and fell in love with the 82-85 Supra body style the second I saw it and heard it rev up. Thanks for listening, hope to here from you soon, David. what's up Dave don't know where to get one but I will ask around... got a question I have a 84 supra with a Japanese motor my problem is my oil gauge is unstable I think what I mean is some times it will stay in the middle and sometimes it will go almost to the third quarter is that normal and sometimes when I am at around 50 mph and give it gas my check engine light comes on oil and compression is good have you seen this before I have a 7gte engine in it with a moza exhaust system and it idles at 1000 rpms also try sonic.com they have a lot of info SHU
