Overdrive?, 02 Corolla

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 16-September 09 Member No.: 20,153 Drives: 02 Corolla CE Location: Minnesota	Hey I just bought an 02 Corolla CE with 26k miles for 6500. It was quite a deal, but it has like no options. A/C and thats about it. I came to find out that it does not have overdrive, only a 3 speed transmission- I was wondering if it's possible to drop in a used 4 speed auto transmission, and if I would have any problems bolting it to the motor, and if there would be any other compatibility problems? Thank You, Kyle I will be installing power door locks and cruise control on this car, If there's any interest I'll probably make a thread on how I did it with pictures and stuff.

Member Group: Members Posts: 39 Joined: 16-March 09 Member No.: 16,738 Drives: Toyota Corolla Type S 2006 Location: USA, California	are you sure its has 3 gears? strange. My friends mother drives a 02 and she has 4 gears. maybe there is a side button on the shift stick that you need to push?
