Hi, I just bought my first toyota, somewhat of a beater 1989 reg cab pickup 3.0 v6 4x4 5 spd. it has about 275.000 miles on it. it was overheating so I took off both heads and found a blown headgasket on number 3 cylinder, had the heads preasure tested and re surfaced, installed heads after degreasing everything I could get to and reassembled, hoorah everything went together fine and it started within a few seconds/ the problem now is after a short 30 minute test drive it's running hot, not overheating but hot. I now have ordered a new radiator since I figured this was more than likely what caused the headgasket to fail. thermostat tests ok, waterpump is circulating but I noticed it took a long time to fill the radiator with coolant so I think its more than likely plugged, I could only pour about a quart in the radiator and then wait a couple of minutes before I could add more, i put in just over two gallons before starting it.

Any other Ideas and I would appreciate it, I hope the radiator replacement will solve the overheating issue.

Thanks
Jeff
