I have a '94 4Runner (3 L) that is overheating. The thermostat is working, but the pump appears to not be circulating coolant. Any Ideas? Thanks, Paul

check how much liquid the cooling system holds. drain it into a bucket and measure it. its a good chance that the radiator is silted up and only working at a low percentage. if it is get a new rad or have your refurbished. if the pump has gone its not an expensive part to but but costly to replace as alll the timing gear has to be removed. I had overheating problems and a new rad cured it.

ok. if you cheked all colling system of your car
(radiator clean, thermostat new,no leak, probe of bgh is ok,all circuit of the motor is clean,no air into the system (this cause temporarity up themp)and the wather bump is ok)is time to chage the fan ,i supose you use the stok fan ,the stok use a system wiht one especial oil and is posible was old,you can probe to retorque at 72 feet and try again.
i have one turbo 89? and i put an electric fan with temp controler ,mi boost work over 14 psi and i dont have any problems.
if you need more ideas ,please contact with my josegpy@...
