I have a 2004 1.6 Corolla auto . A scan has come up with oxgen sensor . Light was put off but now back on again . I now find there are 2 oxygen sensors fitted to this car - one costing €220 and the other costing €240 from dealer . And would non OEM parts be a bad idea ? The car is running fine with the light on - what I would appreciate advice on is : will I be harming some other part and making eventual repair more costly by running the car as it is until finances are ' more favourable '?

I would get the OEM parts to be on the safe side. Maybe find an online parts supplier, they're usually cheaper, at least it is in the States. A bad O2 sensor will just lead to poor mileage so I guess you could wait until you have more funds available. Good luck and keep us updated!
