Hi,

I have a 1995 Land Cruiser in great shape. The only problem is the hood has a lot of chips in it. I guess from rocks? Is Toyota paint real soft or somthing? I dont have it on my other to cars. Also where is the paint code? I went to an auto store near my house and they told me they could mix me some touch up paint if I have the paint code.

Thanks :)
Jim

The dealer could tell you for sure, but I think it's part of the VIN number. If it isn't then it's probably under the hood.

The paint codes are usually on the driver's side door...when you open it.

Toyota paint is not any softer than other automotive paint. It may not have cured properly. It happens.

Good news is you can apply another coat over top.

I noticed this with our 94 4Runner. It made the car look like it could fall apart at any moment, but it just kept going. We live in an area where we can get away without the repaint, thouh.
