Yup, that's right, the paint is peeling on my new car. Must be a default in the paint. Anyone else experience this? I bought the car in March and it's only June...

I bought a Toyota Corolla 2009 4 cylinder 4 door in Green Aloe Color, on August 31, 2008. So now the car is less than 2 months old. I noticed a large paint chip on the trunk area near where you close the door. It is 1 inch in size around. No damage to trunk, no history of anything scratching my car. I usually park in my garage at home and am very careful.
I contacted the dealer, hopefully the warranty will cover.

I just brought my 2008 Camry in to the dealer for a one-inch area of paint peeling on the hood. These are not chips, just plain old paint peeling. The dealer put some tape over it and when the tape was removed it peeled off more paint. Anyone else have this problem?

Did warranty cover the peeling paint for you. I bought a 2009 Corolla in January 09 and noticed the paint peeling on the trim piece below the doors on the passenger side. The peeled area is about as big around as 1/2 dollar.

Take it back to the dealer. If the paint is peeling, they will cover it. If the paint is chipped, they probably wont. Obviously there is a defect in the paint.
