I am considering purchasing as a my primary
vehicle a new Lexus GS.
My current car is a 97 Honda
Accord. The paint quality and sheet metal quality has
been horrible. I have so many chips, and even have
paint peeling off the mirrors. And the sheetmetal is so
thin, dings happen way to easy. Now I know a Lexus is
in a different class, but I have heard similar
problems with late model Acuras as well. So the big
question to you Lexus owners. How is quality of the paint
and sheetmetal over the long term. After owning this
accord, I finally want to buy a car where I don't want to
spend time each month
running around my car with a
bottle of touch up paint or finding small dings that
seem to happen way too easy to the sheet
metal.

Oh and while I have your attention, how is the seat
comfort for long trips?
While I know my current accord
is no comparison to a 2002 Lexus GS, I am concerned
about how comfortable the seats are for long trips
behind the wheel.
I know that the BMW 5 series is
known for its excellent seats, but I am curious to how
the Lexus GS Seats compare. Its difficult for me to
confirm this on a 20 minute test drive. While our bodies
are all built differently, I am sure I can gather a
consesus from many of your opinions. Thanks!
