Howdy

Have been rescueing celica's from the crusher for a year, mostly for the mechanical and soooome body panels but have not been keeping what I do not use, I think I am gona start to keep the 75 and back, I have a 73 and a 74 coming, we just parted out a 83 for enduro racing, I still have alot of the interior and glass, tail lights etc, also the fuel injection. I am on Vancouver Island so freight is high but if you are from the US $10 US = $20 CDN. I do not know what this stuff is worth and I would not want much. I just don't like to see it crushed. Wrecking it in a race is one thing the car crusher another.

As for my project replace the steering box, got taken out by a beetle and a 510 in the second lap.
Have also started on the 20R with the 22RE closed chambered head, most people say no, but a few have said yeah??? I'll find out fer myself, will let ya know.

Trent

ohyacool,

In regards to this 20R/22R engine you said you're starting on builing.... I don't know a lot about this stuff, but from what I've been told all along is that ya gots it a bit backwards there -- you want to take a pre '84 22R block and put a 20R head on it. This is usually called a Cherry Bomb -- don't ask me why about any of this stuff, it's just what I've been told and I thought I'd throw the word out here againg. Good luck, via con dios.

yes that is right 22r blk 20r head is the norm, but because of rules, I would like to try the re head, I have to mill the tops of the pistons down to fit the quench area of the head, the quench area is very desireable, the ports and valves are larger, we are not aloud to port and polish or remover the emmision tube on the 20r exh port, the 22R intake is way better as well, the only draw back is the swirl port on the intake, or so people say. Honda doubles the HP with have the cc
and swirl ports on the bike's. I believe LC eng has done this one and faired not to bad.
