Almost sounds like the engine is plugged up. Did you check the air filter?

Not plugged. Revs well and pulls strong at intermediate to higher revs. Performs like a 75 hp a low RPM and like the 120 HP that it is at higher revs.

Not the trans. Cleanly and solidly upshifts and down shifts in and out of 1st. Now has 75K and seems to be performing slightly better. Learning to keep foot into it enough to keep it from upshifting without going to WOT helps. Although this isn't consistant with other Fuel injection cars, it is what it is. I did a dump of the computer for errors and found none.

hii,
I have a poor acceleration too at my 2001 corolla, after a garage check, by connection a computer to the car and a ride, he told me that the air sensor is dirty,
after a clean of the sensor the car is accelerate excellent again.
