Does anyone else believe that the headlights on the '05 Prius are particularly poor. I have been driving my Prius for 2 years mostly on interstate with lots of traffic, so I did not really notice the level of headlight output. However, it seems that lately my head lights are very weak. There is a very defined line about 25 feet in front of the car (low beam) where the light abruptly ends. I would long run over a deer before it became visible in the headlights!! On high beam, I get about the coverage that most cars seem to get on low beam.
I asked the Toyota dealer to check the headlight aiming to see if they could at least raise the level and I was told that there is no adjustment.

Anyway, these are the poorest headlights that I have ever seen. Anyone else agree?

I also read somewhere that Prius '05 has self aiming headlights. Could it be possible that my self adjustment mechanism is out of wack?

I have noticed that most of the new cars are one extreme or the other - either they are so bright that they blind on coming traffic or they are so dim you can't see where you are going. You would think this would be one of those things that anyone could get right, but apparently not.
