There is a common problem with the high pressure power steering hose leaking, I've the same problem on mine and will eventually take it off and try and get it rebuilt at a hydraulic hose place. A replacement from Toyota is about ?100.Rebuilt hose should be about ?30.

The back of the power steering pump (on an ST185) has been known to leak also - that is not to say there isn't a hose leak as well, but the pump itself can leak too. Mos. -- 78 KE50, 84 AE86, 90 ST185GrpA, 91 MX83Gr, Sydney, Oz.

Thats great, thanks.  I was wondering is it possible to take this hose off without removing the pump from where it is mounted???

Apparently it can, the pump can be accessed and removed via the tie bar hole, methinks it's a job for people with little girly hands and/or those that are double jointed.

I'm getting back into it, I used to think nothing of getting the spanners out and then I bought the celica and got all paranoid about it being really technical, now i'm looking forward to getting deep down and dirty with it. It's only nuts and bolts.
