Hi,i have a toyota power van 2001 2.4d recently for some reason the driver door wont unlock from outside,the van has central locking and locks perfectly from driver side but the key just wont turn to unlock so i hav to unlock from passenger door and climb through to other side,the door locks and unlocks from inside ok.

Please help im fed up climbing through from passenger door!!

Doese it need a new barrel and key if so doese anyone know wer i can get one from and are they easy to fit.

Does the key fit in the lock and does it turn?

If not, then the barrel must have developed a fault. Any reputable locksmith can take it out and repair it for
you. A new barrel may not be necessary.

hi,thanx for the reply yes the key gos in the barrel fine and lock but wont turn to unlock.

Is it possible the key could be worn to stop the barrel from working one way?
