I have a 1992 Toyota Tercel with a 1.5L Engine and 4-Speed manual transmission. I was wondering what are the possible swaps that I can do for the engine and transmission on this car. I'm not stupid, i know this car will never be a "racer", i just want to take a car that i know is solid, and try to improve it a little. The engine and trani that are in it, really only allow a reasonable top speed of 80MPH, and the acceleration is almost non-exisitant. So is there any out there who knows of an engine / trani combination that is relatively easy to swap out into a 1992 Toyota Tercel?
