Hello, Just joined, have 3 Toyotas; buy nothing else - buy new and run them into the ground! My original, our 1993 Previa, has a busted slider door handle. I'm stuck trying to get interior panel off, can't remove inside door handle/slide lock, and do need to change the handle. So, I have to remove inside door panels, and the inside door handle and slide lock mechanism to get that panel off. Then, I need to change the handle. Advice? Have seen something about a C clip for the inside handle, but the mechanism is too confusing. Thanks a million.

Two things you should know. First, to remove the c-clip (which allows you to remove the inside door handle), locate the clip. It is either between the inside door handle and a plastic disc or between the plastic disc and the door panel, I can't remember which. Next, use a thin cloth about a foot long and work it down to the c-clip, sawing back and forth until it catches the clip and pops off. It may 'pop off' so keep an eye on it, don't lose it. Second, on the underside of the sliding lock trim there is a very small philips head screw that need to be removed before the trim piece can be removed. The rest of the removal is easy.
