I have a 1993 V6 4Runner. Sometimes the car runs fine, especially when I first startup. Then, especially after I've stopped for a while, it will loose power and be very sluggish. If I can get it above 3000rpm it will run like a bat out of hell. I've changed the fuel filter, cleaned the fuel line and fuel pump, but no permanent solution. The problem has baffled the three mechanics I've taken it to. I live in Mexico and I think that sometimes the fuel is not clean. Does anyone have an idea of whats wrong?

Could be a fuel issue. I would also check the plugs/plug wires/distributor. Might be a vacuum problem. A lot of things open and close once the engine is warmed up. And that engine has a mess of vacuum lines on it.
