New guy here...just wondering if anuone has ever had problems with their 5-speed manual transmission. Mine feels like a tree branch got caught up in 5th gear and reverse which are both on the right side of the shifting pattern. Hard to get in...hard to get out. I believe the linkage is on top with the shift knob...I found no obstructions when I looked underneath. Any ideas on proceeding? I'll check back from time to time. Thanks.

Drain and check fluid [don’t toss it out].grab a coffee filter and pour it through .your looking for a large amount of yellow no magnetic metal {your synchronizers = brass}. More than likely they are toast. If not there are small detents [small steal balls that keep gears engaged] but have never seen them bind up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif)
