You'll need a fuel cut defenser if you want to raise the boost much more than stock, around 10-11psi. About 14psi is a good safe amount of boost to run on the 3SGTE and will give you quite an increase in power. You can make your own fuel cut defenser for $8 with some Radio Shack parts. Here's a link on doing that: http://toymr2.tripod.com/fcd.html -Kirk Kirk's MR2 Page http://www.geocities.com/kirkosaurus/KirksMR2Page.html

Very important item you left off....Boost Gauge - that way you know how much you are boosting. If you want about 15 more horsepower, gut both catayltic converters. You will get a much faster spool up (getting you into power quicker, and your car will make more power). Ditch the stock air filter and gut that whole area to put in an aftermarket air filter. Do the above and run 14 psi like Kirk said, and you'll be very happy....at least for a while - Mo power. The after market bov does nothing for power over a good working stock bov, actually if you have it vent to atmosphere...I've heard it takes away from spool up time if you are in and out of the gas alot...something about the air from the bov goes back in between the air filter and the turbo...I don't know how much validity I'd put into this though. The tube that carries the air is small and if you have a good air filter on, I don't think you will have that much of a pressure difference to affect spool up times.

You may want to leave your secondary cat. Most have faster spool up time with some back pressure from the exhaust. Mine had more low end power with the secondary cat in place. That was with a lot of head work and the Greddy TD06. A friend had the same low end power gains on his upgraded CT-26. Eric Steel Mist Grey 91T Black 88SC
