Drives: 1994 toyota pickup 4 cyl 22RE 5 speed
Location: USA, Alabama
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 94 pickup with a 22RE engine. 4 cyl 5 spd. there is a constant "rattle" that sounds like it's coming from under the valve cover. it may get faster as i accellerate. wish I could give more info on it, but that's about all I know at this time. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need to pull the valve cover and check for worn or loose rocker arms.

Does it sound like marbles knocking around? If it does, it's engine ping. You could try a higher octane gas or shift at higher RPM's.
