Hello I have a garage ,and have a customer with a 1996 Toyota rav4 with a complaint of a growling noise when making sharp left or right turns especialy when the car sits for a few hours ,once the car gets warmed the noise goes away ...

We have had a RAV since 1998 and it has always made this noise when on full lock. I think it is something to do with the power steering pressure vale releasing to prevent damage to the system (but I am not an engineer so dont quote me!!)
