HI ALL, IM NEW HERE SO HER GOES -

I HAVE A 2003 RAV4 1.8 NV 3 DOOR MODEL, THE REAR N/S (PASSENGER SIDE) SEAT IS STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION. WHEN I PULL THE TAB AT THE TOP OF THE SEAT TO OPEN IT PULLS OUT AS IF THE CABLE INSIDE HAS SNAPPED!! THERE IS NO RESISTANCE ON TH PULL TAB. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THE REPAIR? IS THIS A COMMON FAULT ON THE RAV4 SEATS?

PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW HOW TO DO THIS, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME HELP, KIND REGARDS, ROB.

I have had that happen on another type SUV ...a Jeep. It got into a locked position which was easy for the dealer to dislodge but I never managed it. You've checked the manual for any tricks?
