Hi -

I recently bought a used 2005 Prius and noticed that rear brakes lock up when it rains. I have seen postings across the Internet about the same issue. Problem occurs when slowing to a near halt - then the rear wheels lock suddenly.

I have an appointment at the Toyota dealership and want to make sure I am taken seriously there - has anyone encoutered the same problem and if so, what has been the remedy?

Thank you,

Olivier

I've read about the Prius braking problems and it seems to have more to do with the computer settings than an actual brake problem But force the dealer to take you seriously ...brakes are serious.

Yeah, it sounds like either the rear abs sensors arent reading correctly or the abs module isnt reading the signals correctly.
