I have a 1990 4runner that has a power window in the rear door. The motor for this power window has already been replaced once (with a used one) but it seems like it is on it's way out again. All switches (wiper, etc. ) are fine. I can hear the power window motor turning , but it feels like the gears? are stipped as it I have to help lift it to the "UP" position. These motors are $440 CDN !!!! (new from Toyota) and impossible to find in a junkyard. Anyone out there come up with a cheap fixx/solution to this problem ? I.E. a window motor from another make of car? conversion to manual operation, etc ? Help ! Shaun

Was that $40 from a dealer or junkyard ? What year Celica ? from one of the side doors ? drivers or passengers ? (any details would be appreciated) Shaun

it was indeed from the scrap ward and i think they are all the same so it does not really matter from which window it comes from. it was in the same year range as the runner. hope you are well informed now, sorry about that.. good luck franki boy 89runner
